Rachel brings genuine warmth, curiosity, kindness, and humor to her work and believes deeply in the powerful connection and support therapy provides. Her clinical approach is interactive and rooted in both psychodynamic and systemic theories. While clinically adjacent, her previous experience supporting parents and children as they navigated learning differences and special needs honed her ability to teach concrete, skills-based techniques which she thoughtfully brings to her current role.

Rachel enjoys working with individuals coping with depression, anxiety, major life changes, as well as those looking to better understand themselves. She has unique expertise helping individuals (teenagers, adults, & elders) navigate ADHD, processing issues, and other learning differences. Additionally, Rachel often works with parents to better understand and navigate their children’s challenges ranging from autism to learning differences. She is fluent in IEPs, 504 Plans, and other school-based issues.

Growing up in a family of mental health professionals deeply engaged at The Cincinnati Psychoanalytic Institute, Rachel has been immersed in the world of therapeutic thought, technique, and theory from a young age. After a decade of working as an advocate for the social, emotional, and academic needs of children and teenagers, Rachel realized that her innate ability to meaningfully connect with individuals and foster change would be best utilized in a clinical role. As an adult career changer, Rachel brings a wealth of ‘real world’ experience to her clinical work and understands the experience, process, and ramifications of forging a new path as an established adult.

Rachel studied art history and politics as an undergraduate at Oberlin College and received a Master of Social Work (MSW) at Loyola University of Chicago; she is currently a licensed social worker (LSW). Rachel is in the process of accruing the needed hours towards an enhanced level of licensure (LCSW) and works closely with our team to ensure the highest level of care for her clients.
