Kathleen “Katie” Blehart is a licensed clinical psychologist working with adults and adolescents facing a range of emotional challenges. One area of expertise for her is working with young people as they launch their lives and grow into independent versions of themselves. Another area of interest is working with families coping with loss of a child/sibling.
Katie has worked as a clinician in myriad settings ranging from college counseling centers, therapeutic day schools to community mental health centers, and hospitals. Her work has been published in a number of medical journals and she has presented at the University of Washington, Seattle, Loyola University Chicago, and the Art Institute of Chicago.
Prior to earning her doctorate in clinical psychology, she studied economics and art history in Chicago and London. Her earlier work life took her from riding ambulances as a first responder in New York City to the couture runways of Europe.
